7 Day Residency Divorce

If you are not a current Guam resident, you can qualify to file for a divorce on Guam if you remain on Guam for seven consecutive days and nights.  If you and your spouse agree in writing to the all terms of the divorce, you can file as soon as your seven day residency is complete, and the divorce can often be made final within a matter of weeks.

Divorce terms can include just the agreement to no longer be married, or can include division of property and debts, and custody of children.

If you and your spouse cannot agree to all terms of the divorce – where the divorce is contested – at least one spouse will have to be a resident of Guam for 90 days.
